I was wondering, since yo uall seem pretty computer savvy, what would the indication be for a desktop not booting up at all and all it's doing is just beeping?
I've tried looking for reasons on why it's beeping and what to do to fix it, but everytime I find a page that talks about it, it's greek to me.
Apparently, my friend "accidently" kicked the tower and it restarted itself, but now it won't boot up, if anyone has any thoughts on what's going on and how to fix it, also, if you have time to maybe try and explain it, please let me know, thank you.
Also, since I haven't really been checking back here as much as I was when I joined, you can contact me at: hazardous@graphic-designer.com
It's connected to my phone, so I'll be able to know about a response faster.

Thats one of the reasons I haven't been around since right after Christmas. I had my computer all apart for around 2 weeks and I just didn't feel like logging in on the laptop I was temporaraly using.

It could be a number of differen't things but its possible something was knocked loose. It wouldn't hurt to take the side panel off and make sure everything thats connected to something is seated properly. The beep you hear is actually an audio error code. It should beep in a sequence or one long steady one. Listen to what the beep sounds like and take note of it. For example it might beep 4 times before the computer restarts. You would then type into Google something like "computer beeps 4 times then restarts" to get your answer.

What the Director said, also it might be something is broken (burned out RAM, HDD, etc) and the comp won't start. If you have the patience and resources you can replace individually the different pieces of the computer to see what's up. But that's more of a last resort thing, google is probably your best friend here

Well, I took it apart, almost completely.
The beeping seems to have stopped, but when it was beeping, it was beep like 3-4 times ass soon as I turned it on, stop for a few seconds and it was just constantly beeping, just beep...beep...beep, until it was turned off.
Now I'm kind of having a hard time plugging the power and restard switch, as well as the h.d.d .etc
I found the users manual for the motherboard online, but it doesn't seem to be helping.
As for individually replacing parts, I'm flat broke, so I was trying to steal parts from my moms desktop, which she never uses, but it's a completely different motherboard.
Mine is a M7VIG-400 motherboard and hers is a... I forgot what it was called, but it's red, that'll I know and it starts up with Biostar.
(I know this information isn't really helpful, I'm REALLY NOT computer savvy, I'm learning as I go.)
I checked to see if anything was knocked loose, I checked all the wires, unplugged and plugged them back in.
That's about it for now until I have the time to check both the boards again, been busy with job applications and trying to enroll into the college here for courses and my diploma.
