Chrome is what I'm going to go with. I find it funny how it was so disliked and then all of a sudden after being out for quite a while, people started raving about it.

You might want to go with a variation of it.

Down where it lists the variants of it.

Speaking of having problems with FireFox, I'm always using Photoshop, so that's always opened, but when I sign into aim, FireFox automatically opens directly to the AOL site. I close FF, then when I decide to open it later, a little notice window pops up saying "FireFox is already running, please close the already running window and reopen or restart your system", just started happening, I believe, Saturday.
Any thoughts on why?
(Also, I'm using a Notebook, could that be the reason? Since I have too much programs open, it's lagging the system itself, because after I close everything, FF opens.)

Nah, AIM is an AOL product and therefore, when you open AIM it automatically directs you to their webpage. You can disable that in AIM settings. I would suggest it. But it is probably telling you FF is still open because of some redirect issues between AIM and FF.

As for EON8, I would suggest a fresh install. Try removing all the components from your computer than doing a completely fresh install... I have been with FF for a while now and have had no gripes about it (except when it had problems opening PDF's). If that doesn't fix the problem, go to a new browser I guess... =(

Thats another problem I'm having. Firefox not closing sometimes, and having to force it to close in task manager.

Thats definitely something else on my list of things to try.

I have the already open problem, one would think that if you are seeing that then it is not already open. Plus if it is open why just not open another window like what would normally happen? I always have Task Manager open anyway.

I open the task manager, thinking I could close it there, but there is never anything in use, it may just be because of the AIM direct site thing, I'm going to disable it when I get around to it. I hope that fixes it for me.

Nope, I haven't any installed. I'm going to try a different browser for a while to see what happens. If it still does it then I'll know its something else unrelated to Firefox.

I honestly think it's FF, I was using chrome for a while, nothing like this ever happened, only the whole MSN ordeal I had, wish I could speak about Opera, but I only used it about 3 hours worth all together, more or less, since I found out about it.

I wish Netscape would be brought back. I'm nostalgic towards it since that was thee browser to use back in the 90's.

As a response to using task manager to close FF, I try that, but task manager doesn't show that it's open, well, I haven't had that problem since I rebooted the laptop, well, yet, that is.

If it keeps happening, I may go back to Chrome or I'll just install it again, so it's already done.
And about the whole AIM opening AOL in my browser automatically, I disabled it, so maybe that's why I haven't had that problem.

Hmm, I'm curious about the variants now, I think I'm going to check it out.

And netscape? New to me, i;m going to check that out as well, is it now up and running anymore?

No, its long gone but speaking of AOL, they're the company that currently owns it.
