remember back in the day when google made a black layout for thier homepage to conserve energy, well that sites still up and working

just to bring it back to life...

The colors you make your website have nothing to do with energy conservation. Then to top it off they are technically wasting more energy by having another site for no reason.

Notice how unknown it is now? The resources it would take to promote it would negate any energy saved by having a black background. So there it sits quietly wasting power. :laugh:

It was meant to feel like they turned the lights off. Lol, but they are wasting energy I suppose.

Thats just the thing. It would be a different story if the whole idea behind it was symbolic. The black background was representative of turning lights off to conserve electricity. But they're saying that their main reason for doing it was to conserve energy by having a different color background. Thats what makes it so ridiculous.
