D-Link DGL-4500 Xtreme router

4 posts in this topic

I needed a new wireless router for a few reasons and decided to go with the D-Link DGL-4500 Xtreme N Gaming Router. I'm not a gamer but I really liked all of its features. I hooked it up and configured it today and am very happy with it. Actually it's probably the best router i've come across in my travels.

I wish they didn't give it a black gloss finish though. Thats the worst finish you can have cosmetically for anything computer related. Computer stuff attracts a lot of dust, and with that finish it magnifies it ten fold. But thats nothing compared to fingerprints! If you've ever dealt with this finish you know what i'm talking about. If you attempt to wipe them off it scratches the finish even with micro fiber cloths. :indifferent:

Holy shit! nice router!.

From the multiple antennas, i guess it would have MiMo (multiple input, multiple output)

Yeah its MiMo. One of the main reasons I bought it besides that my old one was starting to go was the fact that i'll be upgrading my internet service soon, and my old router would've been a bottleneck.

Ah, that makes sense.
