False Google/Junsui

24 posts in this topic

I was on globalhalo today, one of the things that are listed as solved, I believe. I was wandering the various chat pages they have (it's back up to multiple pages instead of just one. they seem to regularly update it now) and found the following (keep in mind, the top post is actually the most recent, and the bottom is the least recent. AKA read this bottom to top):

everyone: anyway, look into what you can at your leisure. I have to go for now, I'll return sometime later. I'll email you some details about the junsui/alfa tsentr thing when I get a chance, (probably later today)

everyone: and the web gets deeper

everyone: yea

pain: holy shit

everyone: without quotes and case sensitive

everyone: type in "alfa tsentr"

everyone: http://174.133.240.117/

everyone: yea this one has kinda been my little pet project

pain: i'm intregued

everyone: whatever it is, A LOT of work has gone into it, intense knowledge of flash as well a complete understanding of japanese and russian (mostly in the form of written cyrillic

everyone: kinda mindblowing when you use the fake goole the first time

everyone: this one seems like more of a game to me, however the net stretches wide. many sites fit under its umbrella as well as a live feed of something (there was a woman in a cell at one point) accessed from a fake google

pain: it'll be my next project

pain: no its new to me

everyone: one other question, I'm fairly "into" these ARs (be they games or not), have you heard of this alfa-tsentr stuff thats been floating around?

I tried it. The IP address leads to a fake Google that transfers to the real google unless the key phrase is typed in. "alfa tsentr" without quotes and case sensitive brings up a video feed of the google page flipping backwards and inverting it's colors, before switching to a seemingly live feed of a small, completely white cell. The feed seems to have Russian along the top. Sometimes the cell is empty, sometimes it has a mid-twenties looking female in a white one-piece jumpsuit. When you hit escape (it pops up in full-screen form and you have to do so to remove it), followed by transferring you to this website - http://junsui.shineisei.jp/

I've gotten about 5 clicks through this website (you have to keep clicking the girl to advance the "plot" for lack of a better word). So far it appears to be about human genetic alteration, and a girl who was altered in this way to have only the best human traits.

I'm intrigued, because this person obviously is of the opinion it is an AR, but at the same time when I glanced at the webpage's source, it seemed to be medical-related via the keywords. Any help or further looking-into on this thing would be appreciated.

Yep, ARG.

Google it up, and check wiki. It's been counted as an ARG. Apparently "Alfa Tsentr" is a Russian PMC, but again.... It's part of an ARG. So this is all probably similar to Neurocam at best.

I figured as much. I'm gunna have to actually go all the way through the japan site's weirdness one of these days just to see if it eventually ends or simply repeats itself after awhile. It's interesting to me.

It's changed. Go look at it. I dunno what to make of it but maybe someone more computer savvy can shed some light on it.

To clarify, using the IP address above now transfers to http://sheistheorigin.org/ which simply shows a strange woman in a fancy-ish dress standing in a dark room with red lights flashing every once in awhile to illuminate her.

Sigh... and yet more stuff to add to this weirdness.

http://sheistheorigin.org/broadcast01/main.swf - just a little page thingy with a banner. Clicking a small shirt icon brings you to the below website. Clicking "broadcast this message" pops up options for many social networking sites. Clicking the banner itself leads to the Junsui website.

http://www.headlineshirts.net/junsui.html?utm_source=junsui&utm_medium=banner&utm_campaign=junsui - interestingly, the shirt's title reads "Stop Their Lie!" in Russian.

http://www.headlineshirts.net/catalog/product/gallery/id/2121/image/1111/# - here's a series of closer pictures of the shirt.

Tada! Someone who's done the legwork for us. http://junkojunsui.wikidot.com/

It's complicated, however. Seems from a message on that website that the players of this ARG might not have a clear "in-game" and "out-of-game" separation. The note is below:

"Warning

This seems to be a huge thing. There is no clear line between IG and OOG. I even do not know what is real and what is not real. So "play" on your own risk :-)
