What phone should i get?

35 posts in this topic

Ok so I am getting a new phone. I am thinking of either getting the HTC Thunderbolt or the Droid X. If you have any other suggestions for a phone please post. I am looking for a phone with speed and good texting. Also, I heard a few things about the Droid Bionic. I am willing to wait until the release of that if it looks good, but I haven't really researched it yet.

not really. android isn't as open source as you would think.

the only phone that is truly open source would be the open-moko free-runner

Click, or you will DIE

I'd suggest the Evo 4G or the DroidX, I hear they may be coming out with an Evo that takes 3D pictures. :D

Yeah, they are coming out with an evo that takes 3d pictures, 720p hd 3d movies, and has a 3d display

At least with AOS anyone can make an app and directly put it on the market.

Better than paying for the software to make an app that you have to pay just to get onto the market.

you still make more if you have an app for IOS then if you have one for AOS

Who says I want to make money off an App? I would like to put free time into it not money. Offer it on the market for free.

iOS doesn't have that option.

Well, all it is is a way to screen out crappy apps that pollute the market. just look on android's marketplace, and you will see what i mean

Let me take a snippet from an article since you wont believe me.

"Developers are able to set any price above a set minimum for their applications to be distributed through the App Store, of which they will receive a 70% share. Alternately, they may opt to release the application for free and need not pay any costs to release or distribute the application."

haha, funny. you are obviously one sided, since you say AOS is the "ultimate" phone operating system. or, at least you are inferring it.

im not saying IOS is the ultimate one, but i'm saying it works better for people with macs.

and honestly, AOS is overrated
