Anybody heard of Windows Seven?

7 posts in this topic

I heard about it today while "strolling through wikipedia", which is my new phrase for researching random subjects on wikipedia by means of clicking interesting links strewn through the articles.

Here's something I find scary: http://windows7news.com/2008/05/23/windows...-compatibility/

Something I will read in its entirety: http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/exec/bi...7japanwdlc.mspx

Wow, whats funny about that is I thought of that idea when Vista first came out. See windows has been relatively the same for 13 years. I've found that one of the biggest problems your average Joe has with it is the fact that everythings now different. When I would be having conversations with people about it I would always say how I wished they would make it so its in parts and you could install only what you wanted. That way it would cut costs and you don't need a super computer to run it. Plus it would run better/faster and people like me who don't want or need all that extra crap would be happier.

Apparently a lot of other people felt the same way if microsofts considering it.

They're not "officially considering it" yet. I think the only official info is from that one blog they have. The Modular Windows is only a rumor so far.
