Too bad Apple is just a bunch of Jews making mediocre products with touchscreen technology.

Not like AT&T, Sprint, Verizon don't have touchscreen phones. Shit, I think even LG has a touchscreen phone now..

Apple hasn't done anything except make annoying commercials and labeled their MP3 players as "ipods".

Other than that, they haven't made any advancements really.

NO, the "iPhone" is not all that they say it is. So what if it can get internet? Most phones can these days. Most phones have kickass things called buttons too.

Jews? I Dont mean to be mean, but thats just stupid calling a company "a bunch of jews"

Seriously, im not talking about The i-phone or their i-pods im talking about their Macintosh's which are REALLY GOOD. also, i hate the i-phone. there was one kid at my school, and he had an i-phone, and he thought he was bad ass cuz of it, and i took it from him and ripped it apart.

People say their computers are great, but I hear they don't last for some reason. Oh, and having a computer as thin as a magazine is like making the worlds smalles handgun or something. It's just to show off that they can cram all the computer's internals into a small space.

And Vista isn't that bad unless you try to play games on it. Vista isn't for gaming, so everyone should quit their bitching.

And the only way you fuck up your computer running Vista is if you're a complete moron and can't run Adaware, PC Cillin, etc.. so your computer doesn't get fucked up. Other than that, all you have to worry about is hardware problems.

Wow. I did NOT expect this to gain a page over the course of a day. I also didn't expect flamewars.

Anyways, I came to tell you I got an Eee PC. It is a black 4G (not the surf model) with an addition of 512 MB of RAM. This totals to 1GB. So now I bought something that normally costs $350 for $224. ($24 for shipping. I got it at the peak of what I decided what was my budget.)

It also has had it's SSD wiped and reinstalled with the Linux Xandros that comes with the factory models. I'm planning to follow this (click here) to install windows XP on it. Also, Popsci has had at least 4 mods for it, I'll see what I might be able to do about those.

So, I'm going to take some pictures of it when it arrives.

I was checking them out on ebay last night but they were all going for around $300 or better. So you getting one for 224 shipped was a good deal. I guess it depends on its condition. Around $240 would be the most I would pay for one. Yeah, keep us updated with it because i'm eventually going to get one myself.

Well, when I said scour E-Bay, I meant I checked the ENTIRE LIST. Literally scouring. Most of the ones around 200 or less are in the 700 series, which are what I was looking for, but I found plenty in the 1000 and 900 series. I set the thumbnail to its largest setting, set it to view 200 at a time, and organized by highest price and shipping. I skipped until it was 200 per item. Then I scrolled down searching for things like '701' '4G' '8G' '7" ' and skipping any item that had the words 'accessory bundle' 'accessory' 'case' 'slip cover' 'battery' 'LCD screen for' 'for Eee PC' etc. I scrolled through about 2200 items. However, I could've stopped a few pages before the end. When you get into the single digits, it's damn safe to say you've found any deals you could bid on. Then I copied the links into a .txt file. I put it in to a format like the one above. Those links were some that I found earlier, but never bid on because I won on wednesday.

Here is the format:

http://cgi.ebay.com/dfjkfdjkhgkajerdthljks...serjbgksj4yus5o

(SSD capacity)G(insert "surf" if a surf model, question mark means I can't tell)(OS) (day)

SSD being the Solid State Drive. (Does the same thing as a Hard Drive)

I expected to win within the week so I didn't put exact date. And because E-Bay showed pacific time, I didn't bother to convert to central. Because I could fit all of them into a tabbed browser fairly easily, I could just watch the time and price on the day the auction ends. You may be more or less specific based on your needs.

Now, when watching massive amounts of auctions on E-Bay, you must also be resolved about certain deals. Here is one such situation:

There are two auctions you are watching. The first one (chronologically) is the 4G 701 surf model. The second one is the 4G 701 with .3 megapixel webcam and the better battery. (These are the only differences between the two models at factory status. Some may have had things added or bundled. Be careful about that.) Both auctions are equal in price. Resolving to bid one the first one and, if you lose, on the second one, increases your chances of winning one that day. However, if you win on the first one, you are stuck with it.

I resolved to bid on all of them chronologically within my price range even if it was a surf model. I don't care about the webcam and I can deal with a little smaller battery. Now, you may want that webcam, and you may want all of the battery you can stuff into it. So, if getting the surf model would ruin your experience, you should probably take the risk of losing that day. After all, it took me several days to win on an acceptable deal.

Also, here is the generic disclaimer to READ ALL OF THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION. You need to know damn well what you are going to be down $200 for. Make sure you read the return policy. If you can't figure out if it is the 4G or the 4G surf, then you should probably not bid on it. Also, make sure you don't go entirely off of the pictures. I've seen pictures that show the webcam, but the textual description says its the surf model.

There is my tip on E-Bay.

Yeah, that's why I don't like Macs. (Because they're for retards, like you said.)
